RRC – River Run Cup
Official Competition Regulations

1. Competition Concept
The River Run Cup (RRC) is a European fishing competition where participants fish individually on legally accessible waters within Europe.
Location: No fixed location; participants choose their own spots.
Synchronization: All participants fish simultaneously under identical rules.
2. Competition Format
Duration: Each competition takes place on one specific day.
Window: Exact start and end times are announced in advance.
Restriction: Fishing outside the official window is strictly prohibited.
3. Target Species
Species are specified on the website under the (eligible fish) section.
Only declared species count toward the ranking.
Conservation: Protected or out-of-season species do not count and must be released immediately.
4. Allowed Fishing Methods
Permitted:
All legal angling methods (Rod & Reel only).
Artificial lures and/or natural bait (if locally legal).
Prohibited:
Snagging, netting, or traps.
Any method prohibited by local legislation.
Note: Local fishing regulations always take priority.
5. Equipment
Rods: Multiple rods are allowed unless restricted by local law.
Measuring Devices: Must be metric (cm/mm), flat, straight, and clearly readable.
6. Catch Handling & Fish Welfare
Fish must be handled with respect and kept out of water for the minimum time required.
Unhooking mats are strongly recommended.
Fish abuse results in immediate disqualification.
7. Catch Measurement
Method: From the tip of the snout to the end of the tail fin.
Surface: Fish must lie straight and flat on a rigid measuring device.
Unit: Centimeters (cm).
Validation: Your RRC-Code must be visible in the measurement photo.
8. Catch Submission Requirements
Each submission must include a photo containing:
The entire fish (head to tail).
A clearly readable measurement.
the RRC-Code.
Verification of the competition time window (metadata/timestamp).
Optional video proof may be requested.
9. Verification & Control
RRC manually reviews all submissions and reserves the right to:
Request additional proof or metadata.
Reject edited or manipulated images.
The decision of the RRC judges is final.
each match has a maximum of 100 participants, regardless of the number of teams.
10. Ranking System
Scoring: 1cm = 4 points.
Tie-breaker: If points are equal, the participant with the largest single fish wins.
11. Fair Play & Anti-Cheating
Zero Tolerance for:
Photo/video manipulation or re-using old catches.
Fraud or rule circumvention.
Penalties: Immediate disqualification, loss of prizes, and potential permanent ban.
12. Communication
Official updates are shared via the Website, WhatsApp, Email, and Social Channels. Participants are responsible for staying informed.
13. Prizes
Details are announced per competition.
Payout: Prize money is rewarded within 3 days after full verification.
14. Disqualification
Reasons include rule violations, unsportsmanlike behavior, or providing false information. Decisions are final.
15. Rule Changes
RRC reserves the right to adjust rules or clarify unforeseen situations at any time.
16. Acceptance
By participating, the angler confirms they understand these regulations, fish legally, and accept RRC’s decisions as binding.
