RRC – River Run Cup
**Official Competition Regulations**

1. Competition Concept
The RRC – River Run Cup (RRC) is an European fishing competition where participants fish individually on legally accessible waters within Europe.
There is no fixed location. All participants fish simultaneously within the same competition period, under identical rules.
2. Competition Format
Each competition takes place on one specific competition day.
The exact start and end time will be announced in advance.
Fishing outside the official competition window is not allowed.
Participants may fish anywhere, provided the location is legal and accessible.
3. Target Species
Target species are specified per competition.
Only the declared species count toward the ranking.
Protected species or species caught during closed seasons do not count and must be released immediately.
4. Allowed Fishing Methods
Unless stated otherwise:
All legal angling methods are allowed
Only rod & reel fishing is permitted
Artificial lures and/or natural bait are allowed if legal in the participant’s location
Not allowed:
Snagging
Netting
Traps
Any method prohibited by local law
Local fishing regulations always take priority.
5. Equipment
Participants may use multiple rods, unless local laws restrict this.
Any legally allowed tackle is permitted.
Measuring devices must be:
Clearly readable
Metric (cm/mm)
Flat and straight
6. Catch Handling & Fish Welfare
Fish must be handled responsibly and respectfully.
Fish should remain out of the water only as long as necessary for measurement and documentation.
Use of unhooking mats is strongly recommended.
Any form of fish abuse may result in disqualification.
7. Catch Measurement
Fish must be measured from the tip of the snout to the end of the tail fin.
Measurement must be done on a rigid measuring device.
The fish must lie straight and flat.
Measurements are recorded in centimeters (cm).
Your RRC-Code must be visible on the same picture as the measurement.
8. Catch Submission Requirements
Each submitted catch must include:
A clear photo of the fish on the measuring device
The entire fish visible, including head and tail
The measurement clearly readable
The RRC-Code visible in the photo
Photo taken during the competition time window
Optional video proof may be requested.
9. Verification & Control
All submissions are manually reviewed.
RRC reserves the right to:
Request additional proof
Reject edited or manipulated images
Compare metadata and timestamps
The decision of RRC is final and binding.
10. Ranking System
Rankings are based on:
Fish length (cm)
1cm = 4 points
Final rankings are published after verification.
When two winning participants have the same number of points, the win
will go to the participant with the largest fish.
11. Fair Play & Anti-Cheating
Strictly forbidden:
Photo or video manipulation
Re-using old catches
Using fish caught outside the competition window
Any form of fraud or rule circumvention
Violation may lead to:
Immediate disqualification
Loss of ranking and prizes
Possible permanent ban from RRC competitions
12. Communication
Official communication takes place via:
Website
Whatsapp
Email
Official RRC social channels
Participants are responsible for checking updates.
13. Prizes
Prize details are announced per competition.
Prizes are awarded only after full verification.
If fraud is detected, prizes will be revoked.
The RRC will reward the prize money within 3 days after the competition ends.
14. Disqualification
A participant may be disqualified for:
Rule violations
Unsportsmanlike behavior
Legal violations
Providing false information
Disqualification decisions are final.
15. Rule Changes
RRC reserves the right to:
Adjust rules if necessary
Clarify unclear situations
Make final decisions in unforeseen cases
16. Acceptance
By participating, the angler confirms that:
They understand and accept these regulations
They fish legally and responsibly
They accept RRC’s decisions as final
