1. General Information
The RRC – River Run Cup (RRC) is an international fishing competition concept organized online. Participants register digitally and fish independently on legally accessible waters within their own country or region, in compliance with local laws and regulations. RRC is a skill-based competition. No element of chance or gambling is involved.
2. Eligibility
Participation is open to individuals 18 years or older, unless local laws allow otherwise.
Participants must be legally permitted to fish in their chosen location.
Participants are responsible for holding valid fishing licenses, permits, and permissions required by local authorities.
Employees or organizers of RRC may not participate unless stated otherwise.
3. Registration & Participation
Participation is confirmed only after successful payment and registration.
Each ticket grants access to one competition cycle/day, unless otherwise specified.
Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, except where required by law.
Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in disqualification without refund.
4. Fishing Regulations & Local Laws
Participants must strictly follow all local, regional, and national fishing laws, including:
Closed seasons
Protected species
Minimum and maximum size limits
Allowed fishing methods and tackle
RRC does not override local regulations under any circumstances.
Any violation of local laws results in immediate disqualification.
5. Catch Submission & Verification
Catches must be submitted according to the rules provided for each competition.
Photos and/or videos must be:
Clear and unedited
Taken during the competition period
Include all required verification elements (e.g. measuring device, identifier, timestamp where applicable)
RRC reserves the right to:
Request additional proof
Clearly show your RRC-Code
Reject unclear or suspicious submissions
Disqualify participants in case of manipulation or fraud
The decision of RRC regarding validation is final.
6. Fair Play & Conduct
Participants must:
Fish ethically and responsibly
Treat fish, nature, and other anglers with respect
Avoid unsportsmanlike behavior, cheating, or manipulation
RRC operates under a zero-tolerance policy for cheating.
Any form of fraud, staging, or rule circumvention leads to immediate disqualification and potential permanent ban.
7. Safety & Personal Responsibility
Participation is entirely at the participant’s own risk.
RRC is not responsible for:
Injuries
Accidents
Loss or damage to equipment
Environmental hazards
Participants are responsible for their own safety, insurance, and physical condition.
Fishing environments can be unpredictable. Always assess conditions before fishing.
8. Liability Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
RRC, its organizers, partners, and affiliates are not liable for:
Personal injury or death
Property damage
Financial loss
Legal consequences arising from local law violations
Participation implies full acceptance of these risks.
9. Prizes & Rankings
Prizes, rankings, and rewards are defined per competition cycle.
RRC reserves the right to:
Adjust prize structures if necessary
Withhold prizes in case of rule violations
Prizes are non-exchangeable and non-transferable unless stated otherwise.
Taxes or duties on prizes are the responsibility of the winner, according to local laws.
10. Media & Content Rights
By participating, you grant RRC the right to:
Use submitted photos, videos, usernames, and catch details
Share content for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes
Publish rankings and results
No financial compensation is owed for content usage unless explicitly agreed upon.
11. Data Protection & Privacy
Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws (e.g. GDPR).
Data is used solely for competition administration, communication, and verification.
RRC does not sell personal data to third parties.
12. Modification of Rules
RRC reserves the right to:
Modify rules, formats, or conditions at any time
Make changes if required by legal, technical, or operational reasons
Any updates will be communicated via official RRC channels.
13. Termination of Participation
RRC may suspend or terminate participation without refund if:
Rules are violated
Fraud is suspected
Behavior damages the integrity or reputation of the competition
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, unless mandatory local laws state otherwise.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court.
15. Acceptance
By registering and participating in the RRC – River Run Cup, you confirm that you:
Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
Agree to comply with all rules
Accept full responsibility for your participation
16. Refunds & Event Confirmation
Refund requests must be submitted at least 14 days before the competition start date.
All refund requests must be sent by email to RRC. Requests submitted after this period are not eligible for a refund.
Competitions will only take place if a minimum of 50 participants is reached.
If this minimum is not met, the event may be cancelled or rescheduled. In case of cancellation, all registered participants will receive a full refund.
